I’m pleased and honoured to announce that I’m the recepient of this year’s Charley Shively Prize in Gay Liberation and Activism, given by the William A. Percy Foundation for Social and Historical Studies. It’s an honour in itself but all the more so because the first recepients before me were my dear friends and comrades Robert Chatelle and James D’Entremont, longtime fellow travellers in the constant struggle to articulate concerns around the unjust laws regarding sex offender laws, age of consent laws, and a myriad of issues that are completely ignored by the mainstream gay movement. You can read more about the Shively prize here and about Shively here.

My very great thanks to everyone at the Foundation, and in particular to Thomas Hubbard.
